Delicate Arch

As I hiked to delicate Arch in Arches National Park the wind started picking up, a storm was blowing in. As the storm blew in all other hikers on the trail started packing out as I continued determined to get a picture of the Arch with the Milky Way backdrop. I was hoping the clouds would clear and I'd get the shot I came for little did I know Mother Nature had other plans. The Arch managed to be in the sweet spot surrounded by storm clouds all around but not in the rain or wind. A lightning strike from behind lit up the vast desert landscape providing a unique look at this Delicate natural formation and the surrounding landscape.
